Banging Gavel, a brewpub under construction in one of Tinley Park's oldest buildings, is looking at a summer opening after issues including supply chain delays of materials and the discovery of old kerosene tanks. The opening in June or July is based on estimates of completion of construction, which has been hampered by a delay due in part to delivery of materials, according to the village and Banging Gavel. The brewpub is being built in the Vogt Building, at the southwest corner of Oak Park Avenue and Hickory Street, west of the Oak Park Avenue Metra station Banging Gavel initially expected to open last May.
